Diabetic Management

Nurses are available for diabetic education and monitoring. Our nurses will explain the disease process, instruct on hypo/hyperglycemic reactions, diabetic precautions, foot and eye care, and ADA diets. We can monitor blood glucose levels and report abnormals to your MD. Our nurses can also pre-fill insulin syringes and instruct on medication.

Patients, when diagnosed with Diabetes, have a lot of questions. Our nurses can help answer those questions. Our nurses will teach you:

--What diabetes is
--How to use your diabetic medications
--How to work with insulin and give yourself shots
--How to check your blood sugar
--Symptoms of hyperglycemia / hypoglycemia (high blood sugar / low blood sugar)
--How to deal with sick days
